Welcome to the Mind-Body Research Lab!

How does psychological stress influence physical and mental health? Why are some people more vulnerable to the effects of stress, while others are resilient and even thrive after experiencing stressful events? Do mind-body interventions improve health outcomes, and what are the pathways that underlie these effects? The Mind-Body Research lab seeks to address these questions using observational, experimental, and intervention approaches. We are particularly interested in the immune system as a key pathway linking mind and body.
